Oranjestad eSIM

70 Aruba plans · from $10.67

Oranjestad is Aruba's capital and cruise port, a short ride from both the airport and the Palm Beach hotel strip — a travel eSIM is live before you've cleared the taxi line, and Setar and Digicel both cover the downtown waterfront and shopping streets without a gap.

Landing at Queen Beatrix International Airport (AUA)

About 10 minutes from downtown Oranjestad and the Palm Beach resort strip — a travel eSIM is already connected by the time you reach the taxi stand.

How “Unlimited” works: Never cut off — each plan gives a set amount of full-speed data, then a slower speed. The exact allowance and speed are shown on every plan.Read more

Unlimited plans never run out and your eSIM is never disconnected, but every one has a fair-use limit: a set amount of full-speed data, after which the speed is reduced. The amounts differ between plans — most give a daily full-speed allowance that refills every 24 hours from when you first activate the eSIM, while Premium plans give a larger allowance for the whole plan instead. Each plan states its own allowance and the speed after it before you buy. At the reduced speed, messaging, maps, email and light browsing still work; video streaming and video calls may not. If you want every gigabyte at full speed, choose a fixed-GB plan.

Which networks you'll be on in Oranjestad

Siima eSIMs for Aruba ride Setar or Digicel, whichever is strongest where you are. Both hold up well across Oranjestad and the whole resort coastline — this is a small, flat, heavily developed island with little in the way of true dead zones.

Frequently asked questions

Does my Dutch or EU eSIM work in Oranjestad?
No — Aruba isn't part of the EU or EEA, so EU Roam Like at Home doesn't apply here even though Aruba is a constituent country of the Kingdom of the Netherlands. Buy a local or Caribbean regional eSIM instead.
Is the Aruba-only eSIM the best option for Oranjestad?
It's priced the same as Siima's 29-country Caribbean regional plan at every tier, so buy the regional one unless you're certain this trip won't include another island — there's no price difference either way.
How do I set up an eSIM before arriving in Oranjestad?
Install it at home while you still have Wi-Fi: open Settings → Cellular → Add eSIM and scan the QR code on your Siima eSIM page (open it from your account, or from the link in your Siima email). Leave the line switched off until you land — the plan starts counting from first use in Aruba, not from purchase.
How much data do I need for a trip to Oranjestad?
A few days based in Oranjestad and the resort strip runs about 1-2 GB. Add 1-2 GB if an Arikok National Park or Natural Pool day trip is on the itinerary.
Is an eSIM cheaper than roaming in Oranjestad?
Almost always. Daily roaming passes from most home carriers run $10–15 per day, while Siima plans covering Oranjestad start from $10.67 for the whole trip. You also avoid per-megabyte charges if you exceed a roaming pass allowance.
