Mi Teleférico
The cable car lines have coverage along their routes and at the stations — the ride over the canyon is one of the better-connected commutes anywhere, and the view is the point.
Central La Paz and the Witches' Market
Good coverage through Sopocachi, the Prado and the market streets, though the canyon walls create shadows in the steeper side valleys.
Death Road and the Yungas
The descent to Coroico has signal at the top and bottom and long gaps through the middle. Operators plan for it; ride with one that does.
Salar de Uyuni
Uyuni town has coverage. The salt flat itself and the multi-day tours south towards the lagoons are a genuine dead zone — one of the largest in South America. Download everything first.
How much data you need
Ten days in Bolivia is 3–4 GB. The Uyuni leg consumes nothing because there is nothing to consume, and altitude means you will be on your phone less than you plan to be.
