Ottawa eSIM
94 Canada plans · from $4.36
Ottawa is a small, walkable capital that most travellers see in two days on the way to Montreal or Toronto — and in winter it becomes a city where you genuinely want a working phone outdoors. A travel eSIM handles the whole Ontario–Quebec corridor on one plan, since Gatineau across the river is still Canada.
Landing at Macdonald–Cartier (YOW)
The airport is 20 minutes from downtown; the Line 2 O-Train now runs directly to the terminal. With data live you can check whether the train or a rideshare is faster at your arrival time — late evening it is usually the latter.

How “Unlimited” works: Never cut off — each plan gives a set amount of full-speed data, then a slower speed. The exact allowance and speed are shown on every plan.Read more
Unlimited plans never run out and your eSIM is never disconnected, but every one has a fair-use limit: a set amount of full-speed data, after which the speed is reduced. The amounts differ between plans — most give a daily full-speed allowance that refills every 24 hours from when you first activate the eSIM, while Premium plans give a larger allowance for the whole plan instead. Each plan states its own allowance and the speed after it before you buy. At the reduced speed, messaging, maps, email and light browsing still work; video streaming and video calls may not. If you want every gigabyte at full speed, choose a fixed-GB plan.
Which networks you'll be on in Ottawa
Siima eSIMs for Canada ride Rogers, Telus and Bell infrastructure. Coverage across the Ottawa–Gatineau region is strong on all three, including the full length of the Rideau Canal.
Coverage around Ottawa
O-Train and downtown
The Line 1 downtown tunnel has full coverage in stations and between them. Coverage across the ByWard Market, Parliament Hill and Centretown is consistently strong.
Rideau Canal
Covered along its whole urban length, including the skateway in winter — worth having when you are 4km from where you started on ice and want to know where the nearest exit is.
Gatineau Park
Just across the river in Quebec but still on your Canada plan. Coverage is good near the parkways and Pink Lake, and drops on the deeper trails and in the Eardley Escarpment valleys.
The corridor to Montreal and Toronto
Highway 417 and the VIA Rail route hold signal for essentially the whole run in both directions.
How much data you need
Ottawa itself is 1–2 GB for a short stay. Most people buying a Canada plan are covering a longer trip — size it for the full itinerary, since one plan covers every province.
