Paris eSIM
100 France plans · from $2.16
Paris rewards wandering, which means you will lean on maps harder than you expect — the Métro map and the street grid do not agree with each other. A travel eSIM has you connected from the RER platform at Charles de Gaulle, before you have worked out which line goes where.
Landing at Charles de Gaulle & Orly (CDG / ORY)
The RER B into the city from CDG has patchy coverage in the tunnel sections and no reliable free Wi-Fi. Having data already live makes the ticket machines and route choices far less stressful.

Which networks you'll be on in Paris
Siima eSIMs for France ride Orange and SFR. Orange has the broadest 5G coverage in Île-de-France; SFR is comparable inside the Périphérique and slightly better in parts of the western suburbs.
Coverage around Paris
Métro and RER
Nearly the entire Métro network has had mobile coverage since the 2024 rollout, including in tunnels. RER lines are covered above ground and in most of the central underground sections.
Central arrondissements
Strong 5G across the 1st through 8th. The one consistent weak spot is inside thick-walled historic buildings — expect a drop deep inside the Louvre or Musée d'Orsay.
Eiffel Tower and Champ de Mars
Good coverage at ground level and on all three tower levels, though summit congestion during peak summer hours can slow uploads.
Versailles and day trips
The RER C to Versailles keeps signal the whole way, and the palace grounds are well covered including the Trianon estate.
How much data you need
Three to four days in Paris runs about 2–3 GB. A week with heavy photo uploads and some streaming is closer to 6 GB.
