Can I use Mobile Money (MoMo) with a travel eSIM?
No. MoMo is tied to a Ghanaian mobile number, and a data-only eSIM does not provide one — this is the same limitation as M-Pesa in Kenya. Cards work in hotels, restaurants and larger shops in Accra; carry cash for markets, trotros and smaller vendors.
Why not just buy a Ghanaian SIM?
Ghanaian SIM registration is linked to the Ghana Card national ID, which visitors do not have. Tourist options exist but are inconsistent — an eSIM avoids the question entirely.
How do I set up an eSIM before arriving in Accra?
