Gibraltar eSIM
73 Gibraltar plans · from $5.98
Gibraltar is 6.8 km² end to end, so the "city" page and the country page cover the same ground. What changed in 2026 isn't the territory — it's the border: the land crossing from Spain lost its passport fence in July, the first time that's been true in Gibraltar's history.
Landing at Gibraltar International (GIB)
The runway sits a few hundred metres from the town centre and from Spain's La Línea — most visitors now walk or drive straight across the open border rather than flying direct.

How “Unlimited” works: Never cut off — each plan gives a set amount of full-speed data, then a slower speed. The exact allowance and speed are shown on every plan.Read more
Unlimited plans never run out and your eSIM is never disconnected, but every one has a fair-use limit: a set amount of full-speed data, after which the speed is reduced. The amounts differ between plans — most give a daily full-speed allowance that refills every 24 hours from when you first activate the eSIM, while Premium plans give a larger allowance for the whole plan instead. Each plan states its own allowance and the speed after it before you buy. At the reduced speed, messaging, maps, email and light browsing still work; video streaming and video calls may not. If you want every gigabyte at full speed, choose a fixed-GB plan.
Which networks you'll be on in Gibraltar
Siima eSIMs for Gibraltar ride Gibtelecom, the territory's only mobile operator. There's no second network to compare it against — coverage is either on or, underground in St Michael's Cave, briefly off.
Coverage around Gibraltar
Main Street and Casemates Square
Dense, consistent 4G/5G across the pedestrianised shopping strip and the marina — the busiest part of the territory.
The Upper Rock and the cable car
Coverage holds up well along the cable car route and the walking trails to the Top of the Rock, where Europe's only wild monkey population, the Barbary macaques, roam freely.
The La Línea border crossing
Signal switches from Gibtelecom to a Spanish network within a few steps of the frontier — noticeable now that the walk across no longer involves a passport queue.
St Michael's Cave and the Great Siege Tunnels
Coverage weakens underground in the show cave, as in any limestone system, and holds up well in the tunnels cut into the Rock itself.
How much data you need
A day trip from the Costa del Sol runs under 1 GB. Two or three nights covering the Upper Rock, the cable car and the Old Town rarely clears 2 GB.
