Jakarta eSIM
91 Indonesia plans · from $4.09
Jakarta traffic is the defining fact of visiting the city — a four-kilometre trip can take an hour, and the only way to plan around it is live data. A travel eSIM gets Gojek and Grab working from the terminal, and the same Indonesia plan covers Bali, which is where most of these trips are actually heading.
Landing at Soekarno–Hatta (CGK)
The airport rail link to BNI City takes about 50 minutes and bypasses the toll-road traffic entirely — usually the better choice over a car at peak times. Booking a Gojek car instead needs data before you leave the terminal.

Which networks you'll be on in Jakarta
Siima eSIMs for Indonesia ride Telkomsel and Indosat. Telkomsel has by far the widest national footprint, including the smaller islands; Indosat is competitive across Java.
Coverage around Jakarta
MRT Jakarta and TransJakarta
The MRT's underground section through the centre has continuous coverage. TransJakarta busway corridors are above ground and reliable throughout.
Central Jakarta and Kota Tua
Strong 4G and widespread 5G across Sudirman, Thamrin and Menteng. The old town at Kota Tua is well covered, including the museum square.
Bali and the islands
Your Indonesia plan works the same in Bali — Seminyak, Ubud and Canggu all have solid coverage. The Gili Islands and Nusa Penida are workable but slower, and inland Penida has real gaps.
Bogor, Bandung and the volcanoes
The train and toll roads south hold signal. Volcano hikes — Bromo, Ijen — have coverage at the viewpoints and lose it on the crater approaches.
How much data you need
Jakarta runs on ride-hailing and maps: 4–6 GB for a week. If Bali is part of the same trip, buy the larger country plan rather than two separate ones.
