Phnom Penh eSIM
17 Cambodia plans · from $25.88
Phnom Penh sits at the confluence of the Mekong and the Tonlé Sap, and it is where most Cambodia trips begin before the road or flight north to Angkor. A travel eSIM covers the capital, Siem Reap and the southern coast on one plan, and it handles the arrival — which is the part that has changed recently.
Landing at Phnom Penh & Techo International (PNH / KTI)
The capital's new Techo International airport opened south of the city and sits considerably further out than the old one. Allow more transfer time than older guides suggest and check the airport code on your ticket — Grab and PassApp both operate for the ride in.

Which networks you'll be on in Phnom Penh
Siima eSIMs for Cambodia ride Cellcard and Smart Axiata. Both cover the cities and main highways well; Smart generally reaches further into the provinces.
Coverage around Phnom Penh
Riverside and the centre
Good 4G along Sisowath Quay, around the Royal Palace and through BKK1. The city is flat and low-rise, and coverage is consistent across it.
Tuol Sleng and Choeung Ek
Both memorial sites are covered. The audio tours are downloadable and worth loading in advance so you are not standing in the courtyard waiting for a stream.
Siem Reap and Angkor
Same country plan. Siem Reap town has strong coverage and the Angkor complex is served across most of the main circuit, thinning at the outlying temples like Beng Mealea.
Kampot, Kep and Koh Rong
The southern towns are covered. Koh Rong and Koh Rong Sanloem have signal in the main beach areas and very little elsewhere on the islands.
How much data you need
Ten days in Cambodia is 3–5 GB. Grab and PassApp use, maps and translation are the bulk — Khmer script does not lend itself to guesswork.
