Monaco eSIM
25 Monaco plans · from $16.68
Monaco is 2.1 km² — the second-smallest country on Earth after Vatican City — so the "city" page and the country page are the same ground. The thing worth knowing before you land: the open border with France looks like nothing at all, but your phone still treats it as a real one.
Landing at Nice Côte d'Azur (via helicopter or road transfer) (NCE)
Monaco has no commercial airport of its own — Fontvieille's heliport runs a 7-minute shuttle from Nice, or it's about a 30-45 minute drive or train ride along the coast.

How “Unlimited” works: Never cut off — each plan gives a set amount of full-speed data, then a slower speed. The exact allowance and speed are shown on every plan.Read more
Unlimited plans never run out and your eSIM is never disconnected, but every one has a fair-use limit: a set amount of full-speed data, after which the speed is reduced. The amounts differ between plans — most give a daily full-speed allowance that refills every 24 hours from when you first activate the eSIM, while Premium plans give a larger allowance for the whole plan instead. Each plan states its own allowance and the speed after it before you buy. At the reduced speed, messaging, maps, email and light browsing still work; video streaming and video calls may not. If you want every gigabyte at full speed, choose a fixed-GB plan.
Which networks you'll be on in Monaco
Siima eSIMs for Monaco ride Monaco Telecom, the principality's only mobile operator. There's no second network to compare it against — coverage is either on, or briefly dimmed underground in the Exotic Garden's grottoes.
Coverage around Monaco
Monte Carlo and the Casino
Dense, consistent 4G/5G across Place du Casino, the Café de Paris terrace and the Hôtel de Paris — the most built-up part of the principality.
The Rock and the Prince's Palace
Full coverage across the old town, the Palace square and the Cathedral, perched above Port Hercule.
Port Hercule on race weekend
Normally strong signal; expect it to feel crowded rather than dead during the Grand Prix, when Monaco Telecom trucks in extra capacity for the crush.
Crossing into Beausoleil or Cap-d'Ail
Signal switches from Monaco Telecom to a French network within a few steps of the border — the walk itself gives no visual cue that you've changed countries, or changed roaming rules.
How much data you need
A day trip from Nice runs under 1 GB. A weekend covering the Casino, the Rock and the Oceanographic Museum rarely clears 2 GB.
