Unlimited plans never run out and your eSIM is never disconnected, but every one has a fair-use limit: a set amount of full-speed data, after which the speed is reduced. The amounts differ between plans — most give a daily full-speed allowance that refills every 24 hours from when you first activate the eSIM, while Premium plans give a larger allowance for the whole plan instead. Each plan states its own allowance and the speed after it before you buy. At the reduced speed, messaging, maps, email and light browsing still work; video streaming and video calls may not. If you want every gigabyte at full speed, choose a fixed-GB plan.

How do I get 10% off my Egypt eSIM?

How does the 5% back in Siima credit work?

Is Egypt covered by EU roaming?
No. EU “Roam Like at Home” only covers the 27 EU countries plus Iceland, Liechtenstein and Norway. Egypt is outside it, so visitors from Europe pay international roaming rates unless they use a local or travel eSIM.
Does it work in Hurghada and Sharm el-Sheikh?
Yes. The resort towns, hotels and marinas have 4G. Out at sea on snorkelling and diving trips the signal fades once you are far from shore, and the open desert on quad and jeep tours is patchy.
Do I get an Egyptian phone number?
No. Siima Egypt plans are data-only. Keep your home SIM switched on for calls and texts if you need them; WhatsApp messages and Google Maps work over the eSIM’s data.
When should I install the eSIM?
Install it at home before you fly, while you have Wi-Fi: Settings → Cellular (or Mobile Data) → Add eSIM, then scan the QR code on your eSIM page — in your Siima account, or through the link we email you. Leave it switched off until you land, then turn it on and turn data roaming on for the eSIM.
