Unlimited plans never run out and your eSIM is never disconnected, but every one has a fair-use limit: a set amount of full-speed data, after which the speed is reduced. The amounts differ between plans — most give a daily full-speed allowance that refills every 24 hours from when you first activate the eSIM, while Premium plans give a larger allowance for the whole plan instead. Each plan states its own allowance and the speed after it before you buy. At the reduced speed, messaging, maps, email and light browsing still work; video streaming and video calls may not. If you want every gigabyte at full speed, choose a fixed-GB plan.

What happens if something goes wrong
You are buying data for a trip that has not happened yet, from a company you met a minute ago. Here is where you stand if Greece does not go to plan.
Refund if you never install it

I live in the EU. Do I need an eSIM in Greece?
Maybe not. EU “Roam Like at Home” lets most EU plans use data in Greece at home prices, up to a fair-use limit your network sets. A Siima eSIM helps when that limit is low, when your plan doesn’t include roaming, or when you’d rather keep a trip’s data separate from your home bill.
Does it work on the islands and ferries?
Island towns and ports have 4G. In the middle of longer ferry crossings the signal drops until you are near land again, and some remote beaches and mountain roads are patchy.
Do I get a Greek phone number?
No. Siima Greece plans are data-only. Keep your home SIM switched on for calls and texts if you need them; WhatsApp, Google Maps and FaceTime all work over the eSIM’s data.
When should I install the eSIM?
Install it at home before you fly, while you have Wi-Fi: Settings → Cellular (or Mobile Data) → Add eSIM, then scan the QR code on your eSIM page — in your Siima account, or through the link we email you. Leave it switched off until you land, then turn it on and turn data roaming on for the eSIM.
